by Judy CookI painted the background mountain range a couple of years ago and it sat on a shelf because it was so plain.  A couple of weeks ago, I got it out and determined what to do with it - add the tree in the foreground for perspective and depth.  Then, I added the pine trees on the near mountains.  It changed the whole look of the painting. We were at the Asheville Farmer's Market and these peppers jumped out at me - they were so colorful.  We bought a pound, came home, tried several arrangements, and they looked best in this silver dish.  Then I painted them.  This painting has been entered in a national art contest.  The original is SOLD; limited-edition giclee prints are available: size 16x20. by Judy Cook
